Freeland Neighborhood Crime Watch Fundraiser

Freeland Neighborhood Crime Watch, which is a 501(c)3 organization which supports the Freeland Borough (Luzerne County/Hazleton Area School District) Police Department and first responders. In the vein of “National Night Out”, FNCW will be holding an event on Saturday August 13, 2022 from 12:00pm (noon) until 3:00pm at the Freeland Public Park in order to raise funds to purchase critical equipment for the Borough’s Police, Fire, and Ambulance Departments.

New elements are being added daily, including “Touch-a-Truck” featuring Borough and PA State Police cruisers, fire apparatus, a fire safety demonstration trailer, an ambulance, a Police K-9 demonstration, picnic food, a bake sale, tricky trays, “Back the Blue” merchandise, a dunk tank, and children’s activities and giveaways. Entertainment is a gap in our program, and that is where we are hoping that one of your stations might be able to assist by setting up a live broadcast. Attached is a copy of the solicitation letter we sent to local businesses, including contact information for our organization’s officers, and below are the specifics of the event, which will be held “rain or shine”, as the park features a large indoor pavilion.
