Wishy have announced their second studio album, Nature’s Pill, with the project set for release on October 2. The band revealed the news alongside the arrival of a new single, Lovesick, which serves as the first preview of the upcoming record.
The announcement comes as the Indianapolis group continues to build on the momentum of its recent releases. Band members said Lovesick was inspired by feelings of romantic longing while embracing the bright, melodic sound that has become part of Wishy’s identity. A music video for the track was released at the same time as the single.
Nature’s Pill features 12 songs and follows the band’s debut album Triple Seven as well as the EP Planet Popstar. The new record was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Ben Lumsdaine, who previously worked with the group. According to the band, the album was developed through a more collaborative creative process and explores a mix of indie rock, dream-pop, and alternative influences.
Alongside the album news, Wishy also announced a run of North American tour dates that will take place later this year in support of the release.
