2021 marks the 30th anniversary of Metallica’s self-titled album, known to many as The Black Album, and the band is celebrating with two different releases!

The first release is a remastered version of the album, which will be available in multiple formats, like a limited-edition deluxe box set that contains over one full day of music.

The second release is called The Metallica Blacklist, which features covers of every single song from The Black Album. There’s not just one cover of each, though. There are 53 total covers on the album from bands like Ghost, Biffy Clyro, Cage The Elephant, White Reaper, Royal Blood, and more!

All profits from the sale of The Metallica Blacklist will be split between Metallica’s charity, The All Within My Hands Foundation, and a charity of the artist covering the song’s choosing.

Both albums will be released on September 10th digitally and October 1st physically. You can pre-order yours right now at Metallica.com.
